"In the picture on the left, I'm only 12 weeks old.  My toys were bigger than I was."
"In the picture on the left at 12 weeks, I'm sitting on the arm of a couch.  Gee, I sure was a tiny little thing, wasn't I?"
"I've gotten a lot bigger over the months and years.  On the right, I'm laying on Mom's antique Buffet.  I was about 6 months old when Daddy took this picture."

"On the right, I'm about 5 months old and just kinda hanging around in one of the bedrooms.  I prefer soft sheets and thick comforters, rather than laying on the carpet.  Well, what girl doesn't?

OK, Daddy, you just leave that question alone....."
"Here I am with my first ever group of babies.  I had 7 little Cooners and they were all Girls!!!  Daddy couldn't believe it!  He said it felt like a female infestation!  They were born on April 25th, 2003.  They were 5 weeks old in this picture and I was 14 months.  I was  teaching them how to eat solid food.  Then I taught them how to jump on the kitchen counter and get some Kentucky Fried Chicken when Mom brought some home!

My 7 babies ate just like their Daddy, Spenser.  What was it Tim Allen said?  Oh yeah.  "Men are pigs, arrgh, arrgh, arrgh."
DAD'S COMMENT:  Cotton is gorgeous.  Her Momma, my wife Rette, is even MORE gorgeous.  Rette is stunning.  She's beautiful.  She's incredible.  She's beyond compare!!
(My birthday is coming up soon.....)
Cotton's music is "La Paloma Blanca," The White Dove.  It just seems to fit her!
"On the right is me today.  My Daddy says I'm prettier than ever, just like he tells my Momma.

"He says she is Gorgeous!.  Now he calls me the "Queen of the House."

"It's good to be Queen!"
DAD'S COMMENT:  Cotton is our lead Momma.  She's had several groups of babies for Coon River since her first incredible 7 (we say "groups of babies" because we hate the term "litter" as much as we hate the term "Cattery."  Taken together, they connotate a dirty factory.  Ugghhh!")  She has mated with Spenser, Rocky and Bagger Vance.   She is still young and healthy, and simply stunning in her appearance, but we won't let her breed much longer.  She is our Queen and has served her subjects well.

Update 1/3/09:  Cotton has been retired for about a year now.  We felt she had birthed enough kittens in her breeding lifetime and we didn't want to cause any future problems or endanger her.

She is the Maine Coon, along with our Bagger Vance, that put Coon River on the "map" and on the radar of Maine Coon afficianados across the Country and she is now living the life of retired luxury.  She deserves every second of it!
"Hi, I'm Cotton!

I'm the Qyeen of the House here at Coon River!

On the left is a picure of me when I was about 2 weeks old.

Below are some later pictures of me.  You'll see that I sure grew up nice and pretty!

My Daddy calls me "Princess," because he says that's what I am.  Don't tell him, but I prefer to be "Queen."  Why?

Because it's good to be The Queen!"
